Enzyme Inhibitors – design, competitive inhibitors, active site directed irreversible inhibitors, suicide

enzyme inactivators.

Medicinal Chemistry - Introduction, general mode of action, synthesis and medicinal uses of important drugs in the following

categories.

Antipyretic analgesics (paracetamol, aspirin), Antineoplastic (Methotrexate, Fluorouracil), antimalarials

(chloroquine, pyrimethamine), antitubercular (Isoniazid, ethambutol), antihelmintic (albendazole,

thiabendazole), and sulfa drugs (sulfanilamide, dapsone).
